There will be no new vocabulary or spelling word for this week. Tonight's homework is to watch a news program or read something (newspaper or online article) about today's inauguration. I would like for each child to write a reflection on what they saw or read.

Homework for 1-15 and 1-16-09

Tonight's homework will be to reread the story, "Jalapeno Bagels" and finish the questions at the end of the story. The students may also put their spelling words in alphabetical order.

Friday's homework will be to complete the book report form that was passed out. This book report is due 01-22-09.

Jalapeno Bagels Test

The students were to take the reading and spelling test today. However, due to the weather, there were many absent students. I am attending a workshop tomorrow and do not want the students to take the tests with a substitute. The tests will be on Tuesday January 20, 2009. Please take time this weekend to review for the tests.
